Lia Sadeghi’s take on styling reflects a particular styling DNA that is easily but distinctly recognizable. The Paris – Berlin based stylist and creative director has had a flair for aesthetics and style since a very young age. We chat with Lia on her journey, working cross-continentally, and materializing her talent in fashion production.
How did you start your fashion journey?
I started my fashion journey by working in fashion show production in New York, Tokyo, London, and Berlin.
Lia already has an enviable work trail having styled for titles such as Dazed, Vogue, Interview Magazine, and Wonderland along with brands such as Adidas, Salomon, and UGG. Her approach aims for the unique, the mysterious, and the unexpected as she explores styling as she means to create something beautiful in a uniquely unconventional way.
How did your passion for styling come to be? What made you choose to focus on styling?
At a very young age, I developed a strong interest in fashion and style. Back then mainly influenced by the 90s/00s R’n’B & Hip Hop culture. It was my passion for customizing clothes, putting together outfits, and creating a unique look. When first working at a fashion magazine I really enjoyed the creative process behind styling and art direction.
“This is when I knew the profession I wanted to go for.”
says Lia, on here what led her to styling journey. Lia’s approach aims for the unique, the mysterious, and the unexpected as she explores styling as she means to create something beautiful in a uniquely unconventional way, and is expressed through her contemporary take on Modern,Clean, Sultry, and statement filled style sentences as evidenced in her work.
As a stylist and a creative director. How does that influence your work?
Executing both styling and creative direction greatly influences my work process in a positive manner. As a creative director, I work closely with the entire creative team and while overseeing the creative process, from concept development to execution it helps to understand the craft of a stylist. As well when styling on shoots I naturally focus on the cohesive vision of the brand to ensure that the final product is aligned with the brand’s vision.
In your personal style, and styling, What was the process behind finding your own personal signature in styling?
I always like to look at things from a different perspective. In this way, I am able to explore the various aspects of styling to create something unexpected or that is unconventionally beautiful.

Tell us about some projects you recently did and loved!
The recent project I directed and styled was the SS23 lookbook shoot for my designer friend Clara Colette Miramon. The shoot was outside, super cold but the results were incredible. The photos were taken by my dear friend Matias Alfonzo. I appreciate the most working creatively with friends.
What would be your goals for this year or next year, both creatively and personally?
Creatively my goal is to work on a book project. Personally taking more breaks and traveling outside of work.
How do you see the future of fashion or style developing, sustainably or otherwise?
The fashion industry is becoming more diverse and inclusive, with models of different sizes, ethnicities, and backgrounds being represented on the runway or fashion campaigns. I think in the future, we may see an even greater emphasis on diversity and inclusivity, with fashion brands creating clothes and designs that are accessible and appealing to a wider range of people.
Could you pick three fashion trends that inspire you the most right now?
Y2K, cargo pants, oversized silhouettes.
What’s your DNW wishlist?
The wishlist would be too long but I had to break it down to these favs
